I call these small vases "pinhole vases", because the opening at the top is a mere 2 centimeters across. Having such a small opening on a small vase allows for the very dramatic display of single flowers, a small bunch of thin stemmed flowers, bamboo shoots, or even one of my aptly named "Bugs on Sticks". As with all small vases please make sure to weigh it down (sand works wonders) to keep it stable if you use it to display a topheavy item.
The vases stand roughly 13-14 centimeters tall, and roughly resemble a gourd in shape. Each vase is made entirely of glass and is fully handmade: blown by mouth and sculpted by hand into the desired shape, with colour being added during this time as well. Each vase features a solid opaque base colour crossed by a vertically rising stripe of a second colour. I tend to make two pinhole vases back to back using the opposite colours (eg if the first one was black base white stripe, the second will be white base black stripe) for the second piece. The vases are freestanding, and I have signed them on the bottom using a diamond engraving tool: out of sight during normal use, but there if you ever need a reminder that you supported a very greatful independent artist!
If the colour pairing you are looking for is out of stock, please feel free to contact me, and I can make whatever you need in relatively short order - usually a week or two, but I can let you know how long it will take before we finalize anything.

Please Note: The pictures and measurements included here are to be taken as samples and averages. As each pinhole vase is fully handmade there will be variations in their sizes, shapes, and their stripes - this is to be expected, and is what makes each vase one-of-a-kind. The best way to get an idea of what your vase will look like is to browse the pictures of the different colours available here, and then expect that your vase will fall within the range of shapes and designs included there. Allow me to assure you that I have very high standards, and I would never dream of selling a piece unless I knew it will make its new owner proud.
